Terms of use
Last updated 29 October 2026
Draft — to be reviewed by a solicitor before launch.
These terms are an agreement between you and Arri Tech Ltd (company number 13784390, [ADDRESS]) (“we”, “Outzu”). By using Outzu you agree to them. Please also read our privacy notice and acceptable use policy.
1. Who can use Outzu
You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. One account per person, signed in with your own Apple or Google account or email address.
2. What Outzu does
Outzu helps you plan meals out, split bills, keep track of paying each other back and share your way home. It is a tool for you and your friends; we are not a party to any arrangement between you.
3. Outzu never holds your money
Outzu does not hold, move or receive money between users, and takes no cut of payments between friends. When you pay a friend back, you do it from your own bank or payment app, under that provider’s terms. Outzu shows the payment details your friend gave and records what you each say happened (“I’ve paid”, “Received”). We are not a bank, payment service or money transmitter, and we can’t reverse or guarantee any payment.
4. Bills and splits
Outzu works out shares from the items, service, tips and discounts entered by the people in your plan. Receipt reading is automatic and can make mistakes: the person who pays checks the items before they are shared. You are responsible for checking what you owe.
5. Get Home Safe is not an emergency service
Get Home Safe and SOS tell your friends and emergency contacts where you are. They are not an emergency service and do not contact the police, ambulance or anyone else on your behalf. Messages and locations depend on phones, networks and settings and may be delayed or fail. If you or someone else is in danger, call 999 (or your local emergency number).
6. Outzu Pro
Outzu Pro is an optional subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play, billed and renewed by them until you cancel in your store settings. Free trials turn into paid subscriptions unless cancelled before they end. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. The free features stay free.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (messages, photos, plan names). You give us a licence to store and show it to the people in your plans so the app works. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share.
8. Restaurant information
Place details come partly from Google and partly from users and restaurants. We don’t guarantee that opening times, menus or prices are right.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the acceptable use policy, or to protect other users. Bills already shared stay visible to the other people in them, without your name.
10. Our liability
We provide Outzu “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited by law, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. Otherwise, we’re not liable for losses that weren’t foreseeable, for disputes between users about money, or for any failure of Get Home Safe to deliver a location or alert.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless you live elsewhere in the UK, in which case your local courts may also hear a claim.
