Split the bill
Everyone pays for what they had. Exactly.
Splitting evenly feels simple until the person who had a salad pays for someone else’s steak and wine. Outzu makes the fair split as quick as the even one.
How Outzu works it out
- Your items. Everything you tap is yours.
- Shared items. A dish tapped by three people is split three ways. You can set portions too — say you had two of the five dumplings.
- Service, tip and discounts. These are shared in proportion to what each person ordered. Order more, pay a bigger share of the service; skip the wine, pay no service on it.
- The odd amounts. 35,00 ₾ between three people doesn’t always divide exactly. Outzu hands out what’s left over fairly, so the shares always add up to the exact total on the receipt — never more or less.
A worked example
Four friends, 313,50 ₾ of food, 12.5% service (39,19 ₾), 352,69 ₾ in total. Ali paid.
| Who | Food | Service | Share | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sara | 78,50 ₾ | 9,82 ₾ | 88,32 ₾ | Owes Ali 88,32 ₾ |
| Ali (paid) | 110,00 ₾ | 13,75 ₾ | 123,75 ₾ | Gets 228,94 ₾ back |
| Priya | 62,50 ₾ | 7,81 ₾ | 70,31 ₾ | Owes Ali 70,31 ₾ |
| Tom | 62,50 ₾ | 7,81 ₾ | 70,31 ₾ | Owes Ali 70,31 ₾ |
The four shares add up to 352,69 ₾ exactly. Sara, Priya and Tom each get one payment to make, with Ali’s details and a reference.
Paying back
Outzu never holds your money. You pay your friend directly — bank transfer, IBAN, or the payment app they prefer — and tap “I’ve paid”. They tap “Received”, and when everyone has, the bill is settled. Got cash? There’s a button for that too.
