Split the bill
Everyone pays for what they had. Exactly.
Splitting evenly feels simple until the person who had a salad pays for someone else’s steak and wine. Outzu makes the fair split as quick as the even one.
How Outzu works it out
- Your items. Everything you tap is yours.
- Shared items. A dish tapped by three people is split three ways. You can set portions too — say you had two of the five dumplings.
- Service, tip and discounts. These are shared in proportion to what each person ordered. Order more, pay a bigger share of the service; skip the wine, pay no service on it.
- The odd amounts. UZS 160,000.00 between three people doesn’t always divide exactly. Outzu hands out what’s left over fairly, so the shares always add up to the exact total on the receipt — never more or less.
A worked example
Four friends, UZS 1,445,000.00 of food, 12.5% service (UZS 180,625.00), UZS 1,625,625.00 in total. Ali paid.
| Who | Food | Service | Share | Result |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sara | UZS 360,000.00 | UZS 45,000.00 | UZS 405,000.00 | Owes Ali UZS 405,000.00 |
| Ali (paid) | UZS 505,000.00 | UZS 63,125.00 | UZS 568,125.00 | Gets UZS 1,057,500.00 back |
| Priya | UZS 290,000.00 | UZS 36,250.00 | UZS 326,250.00 | Owes Ali UZS 326,250.00 |
| Tom | UZS 290,000.00 | UZS 36,250.00 | UZS 326,250.00 | Owes Ali UZS 326,250.00 |
The four shares add up to UZS 1,625,625.00 exactly. Sara, Priya and Tom each get one payment to make, with Ali’s details and a reference.
Paying back
Outzu never holds your money. You pay your friend directly — bank transfer, IBAN, or the payment app they prefer — and tap “I’ve paid”. They tap “Received”, and when everyone has, the bill is settled. Got cash? There’s a button for that too.
